BPI Foundation, the social development arm of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), recently turned over Php 4M to Caritas Manila’s Project Damayan, to support over 1,400 families or around 7,000 individuals in Metro Manila’s urban poor area who have been greatly affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

“We all need to help out and do our share.  Helping our society cope and survive this ongoing pandemic is paramount.  Providing immediate food and sanitation assistance to vulnerable communities and families is part of our contribution,” said BPI Foundation Executive Director Owen Cammayo.

Through Project Damayan, a donation drive to protect the poor from COVID-19, thousands of food bags and hygiene kits were recently distributed.
