BPI collaborates with Ayala companies to fight COVID-19

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is collaborating with Ayala companies to support the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in addressing critical health needs of Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative is part of BPI Foundation’s BAYANihan program to help those who are vulnerable to the ongoing threats of the virus.

Through the combined donation of P5 million from BPI, Ayala Corporation, and Globe Telecom to PRC last March, 200,000 face masks were distributed to front liners in hospitals in Metro Manila, government agencies, local government units, and to migrant Filipino workers bound for Hong Kong and Macau.

As controlling the spread of the virus becomes more critical, BPI has committed an additional donation of P2 million to build a new COVID-19 testing center together with Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) at the PRC Manila Headquarters. This project will expand the facility at PRC Mandaluyong in order to increase the country's daily testing capacity and provide Filipinos with better chances of treatment and recovery.
